Meet Caitlin

We love having Caitlin as a teammate and proud of all she continues to accomplish.
“I love being a mom and I love being a wife but going to the gym I can just be me for about an hour and a half. No kids, no husband, no cooking, not doing anything for anyone but myself. I just get to be me and be in my own mind doing what I love.
I had my daughter approximately eight weeks early due to preeclampsia or toxemia resulting in extremely high blood pressure to the point where my kidneys were shutting down. If I didn’t have her early, one of us wasn’t going to live. Granted preeclampsia is random but the doctor told me if I wanted to have another child, losing weight was the best way to avoid it, because being overweight and high blood pressure go hand-in-hand.
So once I got settled into being a mom I knew I needed to do something. I have gone to different gyms and I needed more motivation. I needed classes. I needed coaches. I needed someone to tell me what to do and be there to help me know how to do it.

A coworker of mine did Spartan races so I looked into it not thinking I would get into the racing but maybe just the training. Low and behold I fell in love with it. When I train and do races I feel so bold so powerful so self-confident. I push my own boundaries. I test my own limits. I do things I didn’t know I was capable of until I tried them. That’s exactly what I needed from the gym and it’s exactly what I got.

This gym has meant so much to me. Everyone there are not just friends, they are teammates. They’re family.
